WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg Area Association of Realtors announced Alison Sakimura began her term as the 2026 WAAR President and Jennifer Mitchell began her term as the 2026 Williamsburg Multiple Listing Service President on Nov. 1.

Alison Sakimura, the 2026 President of the Williamsburg Area Association of Realtors, brings a depth of experience, service, and community commitment to her leadership role, according to the nonprofit.

The nonprofit trade organization said Sakimura’s understanding of the challenges faced by homebuyers and relocating families is shaped by her own background. Having moved 13 times and lived in six states during her family’s military journey, she offers unique insight into the emotional and logistical aspects of transition.

Sakimura has been named a 2025 Virginia Living Magazine Top Real Estate All-Star, a 2025 Top Agent in Coastal Virginia, and one of Long & Foster’s Top 100 Realtors in 2021, WAAR noted. She completed the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Department Citizens Academy in 2024 and graduated from the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce LEAD Class of 2023.

Sakimura looks forward to supporting the newly installed Board of Directors, strengthening member engagement, and advancing initiatives that foster professionalism and collaboration across the real estate community, the organization said.

Jennifer Mitchell is a licensed real estate agent and Realtor in both Virginia and California. In Virginia, she serves as Principal Broker of Live in Virginia and Trusted Property Services LLC, both located in Williamsburg, and she is an Associate Broker with KW Allegiance, a veteran-owned and operated brokerage in Yorktown.

She holds college degrees in Real Estate, Business Management, and Human Resource Management, which strengthen her leadership, negotiation, and client service skills, WAAR said.

It added her professional background includes extensive experience in banking, insurance, and the automotive industry, enhancing her ability to navigate complex transactions with confidence and care. She holds multiple real estate designations, including Senior Real Estate Specialist, Military Relocation Professional, Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Pricing Strategy Advisor and others.

Mitchell is the President of the Williamsburg Multiple Listing Service, serves on the Williamsburg Realtors Board of Directors, and is a member of the Virginia Realtors Property Management Council.

Beyond real estate, Mitchell is the founder and President of PUSH Matters, a nonprofit dedicated to removing non-academic barriers to education for underserved youth and adults. She also volunteers with the James City County Fire Department CERT — Community Emergency Response Team — supporting local emergency preparedness and community response initiatives, WAAR noted.
