WILLIAMSBURG — The owners of Corner BARKery in Merchants Square have leased the next-door space to build an extension of their business.

Steve and Michelle Sieling, who own Aromas, The Hound’s Tale and the Corner BARKery in the heart of downtown Williamsburg, have rented the former space of A Chef’s Kitchen to build an extension of Corner BARKery, a retail shop for dog and cat owners.

The spaces, located at 501 Prince George St., were previously one unit before the now-closed A Chef’s Kitchen opened.

“We’re just going to put it back to how it originally was,” Michelle Sieling said.

A Chef’s Kitchen first announced that it would permanently close earlier this month following the death of the beloved Chef John Gonzales last winter.

The Sielings, who were close friends with Gonzales, want to “keep his memory alive.”

Sieling told WYDaily that they are still in the early stages of the process.
