Alewerks, Williamsburg Winery join statewide beer and wine festival

The Historic Triangle will be represented when Virginia’s most popular brewmasters get together to tout their stuff.

Alewerks Brewing Co. and the Williamsburg Winery will be pouring samples at the Virginia Craft Beer and Wine Festival.

The festival will be held at the Union Bank & Trust Pavilion in Portsmouth between 2 and 6 p.m. Sept. 29.

Six wineries and twenty breweries, all from Virginia, will be on hand to offer samples of their work. There will also be live music and food.

Tickets cost $30 through Sept. 23 and $35 through the day of the festival.

Proceeds will benefit the Virginia Legends Walk Foundation.
