Philip B. Williams of Williamsburg passed away peacefully on April 26, 2017.

A lifetime resident of Williamsburg, Phil was an avid supporter of the College of William & Mary Football and the Baltimore Orioles. Had gained a wide following at Holiday Cadillac Chevrolet.

Phil will be remembered for his great sense of humor, zest for life, and encyclopedic memory of trivia. Phil cherished his friends, family and time at the beach, especially Cabo San Lucas. He was a stranger to none and a friend to all. Friends say Phil worked at Hudgins Holiday Car Dealership and was a fixture for William and Mary football games and  at the Quarterback Club.

He is survived by his brother, John W. Williams, Jr. (Bill); his sisters, Frances W. Davis and Martha W. Gray; nieces Sarah D. Long and Kathryn D. Brigger, and nephew R. Gordon Gray.

Phil  was predeceased by his parents Betty B. Williams and John W. Williams, Sr. A celebration of Phil’s life will be held Sunday, April 30 from 4 to 6 p.m at Nelsen Funeral Home in Williamsburg.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a contribution be made to William & Mary Quarterback Club in Phil’s memory.
