A Toano man died Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash in James City County, according to a news release from James City County police.
Milton Ray Grant, 37, was driving a 2016 Ford Fusion traveling westbound on Richmond Road, near the New Kent County line, when the vehicle veered off the left side of the road.
The car struck a tree causing the vehicle to spin and flip onto its roof.
James City County police responded to the crash around 8:30 a.m. Sunday and pronounced Grant dead at the scene.
Grant was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and alcohol is believed to be a factor, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
