Snow and winter have been in the news lately, but the Virginia Symphony Orchestra is also giving some love to spring, summer and fall.
Specifically, VSO is paying tribute to the “Four Seasons,” a Baroque set of four violin concertos composed by Antonio Vivaldi, according to a release. There will be four performances at venues in Newport News, Norfolk and Virginia Beach.
The concerts will also include “Piccolo Concerto,” performed by Rachel Ordaz, and Vivaldi’s “Concerto for Two Trumpets,” performed by David Vonderheide and Adam Gandolfo. Other featured performers are Vahn Armstrong, Amanda Gates Armstrong, Simon Lapointe and Jonathan Richards.
