Surry woman charged with stealing more than $500 from Wburg Walmart

A Surry woman has been arrested and charged with embezzling more than $500 from a Williamsburg Walmart.

Breyanta Gray, 19, was arrested at the Walmart Supercenter, 731 East Rochambeau Dr., on Jan. 11. She was charged with 11 counts of embezzlement and one count of marijuana possession, according to Lt. Dennis Ivey Jr., a spokesperson for the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.

Gray was an employee of  the store, Ivey said. She allegedly stole cash from the register dating back to early December and had been under investigation.

Gray was arrested without incident.
