Recipe: Warm Spiced Wine

With a blend of Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon and spices such as cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg, this spiced wine can be served warm or chilled. (Courtesy Williamsburg Winery)

Warm Spiced Wine

  • Three cups spiced wine, such as Jamestown Cellars Settlers’ Spiced Wine
  • Three cups apple cider
  • Four cinnamon sticks
  • Orange and lemon wheels (optional)
  • Warm in a slow cooker on high until “coffee” hot.
  • Reduce heat to keep the wine warm. Do not boil.

Ladle into cups. Garnish each with a cinnamon stick (optional). Serve.

Yield: Serves four.
