Sheriff’s office releases photos of armed robbery at Community Deli

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office has released security camera images of two men suspected of carrying out an armed robbery at Yorktown’s Community Deli on Dec. 11.

According to a YPSO news release, the two men entered the business located on Old Williamsburg Road around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 11.

As they entered the store, the men brandished the firearms and demanded money. Once they received the cash, they left the store on foot.

As the suspects fled the store, one fired a shot at the business, striking the business sign located on the roof, the release stated.

According to the release, investigators believe the pair left in a tan-colored vehicle last seen heading towards Goodwin Neck Road. Both suspects had their faces covered with hoods.

No one was injured during the robbery.
