Sunday’s fundraiser for the family of a man who was shot and killed inside a James City County supermarket in April has been relocated.
The event was originally set to take place in the parking lot of Crosswalk Community Church in Norge. With rain in the forecast, organizers have moved the fundraiser to Suite 102 of the Toano Business Center, located at 8105 Richmond Road.
Donations will be accepted during the event for the family of Gabriel Ryan Maness, the 34-year-old Providence Forge man who was shot and killed April 17 inside the Farm Fresh grocery store in Norge. Maness is survived by his wife, Kristy, and two young daughters.
Brian Alan Hicks, 55, of Woodbridge, faces a charge of second-degree murder in connection with Maness’ death.
The Maness Family Fundraiser will feature fire trucks, food and live music. The event will run from 1 to 5 p.m. June 5.
Parking is available in the front and back of the building.
