Baseball Game of the day: Kellam at Ocean Lakes, 4 p.m.
The Knights (9-4) are playing their best ball of the season with wins against Ocean Lakes in extra innings on Tuesday and Chesapeake power Western Branch on Wednesday. The Dolphins (10-4) look to avenge their late-game unraveling and even the season series with some home cooking — where hey haven’t lost yet this season.
Boys Soccer Game of the day: Cox at Ocean Lakes, 7 p.m.
The Falcons (7-2) get the conference’s first crack at the Dolphins’ (10-0) undefeated record and it’ll take some offensive pressure to break through. Dolphins keeper Colton Demetriou has backstopped a defense that has posted six shutouts, while midfielder Jack Monroe headlines a relentless attack.
Girls Soccer Game of the day: Kellam at Landstown, 5:15 p.m.
The Eagles (6-2) have won six games in a row. The Knights (7-1-1) have won seven. The gauntlet of death known as the Coastal Conference race begins Friday with two of the area’s premiere teams searching for a crucial conference win. This match could be decided on whose defense cracks first. Knights goalkeeper Sydney Swoope (five shutouts) and Eagles keeper Jasmine Crawley (four shutouts) have played lights out early. Kellam midfielder Talia Tapper and Landstown attack Alyse Stukey will prove crucial in either club’s ability to generate opportunities at the net.
