The Peninsula Glass Guild will fill Legacy Hall in New Town with exceptional works in glass at an annual exhibition and sale that begins in the evening on Thursday, September 11 and runs through the Saturday evening, September 13.
This exhibition of glass by the region’s top contemporary artisans will spotlight cameo glass pieces by Heather Hartle. Hartle’s cameo glass portraits, carved glass botanicals and geometric shapes are cut on a lathe with painterly precision. Hartle is particularly skilled in creating baby portraits in glass, and will be available to discuss commissioned pieces.
The New Town Design Center will also be exhibiting more than 40 artworks that were created for competition by the members of the Design Center.
