The Virginia Symphony Orchestra, which includes about 10 members of William & Mary music faculty, will perform a free concert at the Lake Matoaka Amphitheatre on Thursday, August 28 at 7:30 p.m., sponsored by William & Mary and the City of Williamsburg. Ben Rous will conduct a program with highlights of the 2014-15 season.
Guests are invited to bring family and friends, beach chairs and blankets. Personal coolers and picnic baskets will be permitted; however, no external alcohol will be allowed. Wine will be available for purchase on site. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be held at Phi Beta Kappa Hall.
