Tabb Basketball Helps Feed Needy
For 2014, each Tabb Middle School athletic team in the York County School Division was tasked with completing a community service project together. In January, members of the boys basketball team took part in a Youth Volunteer Corps event to help feed those in need at the Five Loaves Ministry Project.
The students worked to organize and distribute food items at Five Loaves, which is based out of Olivet Christian Church in Newport News.
Established in 2009, the Youth Volunteer Corps of Hampton Roads engages youth in meaningful volunteer opportunities in an effort to enrich the lives of others.
