Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Virginia peninsula has partnered with Great Wolf Lodge for the Big Splash, a fundraising effort allowing non-hotel guests to buy one-day waterpark passes.
“Big Brothers Big Sisters works with youth across Williamsburg and into the Peninsula,” said Angie Brown, general manager of the Great Wolf Lodge, in a news release. “We at Great Wolf Lodge believe in the idea that raising a child is not only a parent or guardian’s responsibility but also the community’s. This is one very small way we can help Big Brothers Big Sisters’, its mission and continue investing in our surrounding community.”
Great Wolf Lodge typically only allows its overnight guests access to the waterpark, but through this fundraiser effort, one-day passes are on sale for Oct. 14 through Oct. 31. The entire purchase price goes to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
“We are deeply excited to be able to partner with Great Wolf Lodge and then also to be able to provide such a unique opportunity to the community at the same time,” said Ayanna King, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters, in a release. “We think these passes are going to go quickly, so if you’re interested, you need to purchase them soon.”
The passes are on sale now; passes for Oct. 13 have sold out and there are only a few passes left for Oct. 14.
The passes range in price from $15 to $25 and are only available for online purchase. No day passes are being sold at Great Wolf Lodge.
