Hometown: Williamsburg Landing Hires Medical Director

Kathleen Meehan MDWilliamsburg Landing has a new medical director and primary care physician with the hire of Dr. Kathleen Meehan.

Meehan, who earned her medical degree at Temple University, boasts 22 years of experience as a medical director and geriatrician in continuing care retirement communities in Pennsylvania.

Her previous roles include primary care physician for Living Independence for the elderly program in Bethlehem, Penn., and instructor for geriatrics rotations at St. Luke’s Family Medicine Residency, also in Pennsylvania.

As medical director and primary care physician, Meehan will oversee all medical care and clinical programs at Williamsburg Landing, which the only accredited continuing care retirement community in Hampton Roads.

Meehan succeeds Dr. Emmeline Gasink, who has been the medical director since 2010.

Gasink will continue with Riverside Lifelong Health Division, which provides services to older adults, as director of quality.
