The James City County Police Department recently recognized Steve Rosen for his volunteer work with the Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) program.

VIPS is a national program that gives citizens a chance to help law enforcement agencies with crime prevention, neighborhood watch, special events, administrative tasks, National Night Out, the child ID program, parades and more.

According to the county, Rosen logged many hours over the past year volunteering at the front desk and at various community events hosted by the department’s Community Services Unit. He’s also quick to step up when help is needed.

“Rosen exemplifies the County’s values of Integrity, Collaboration, Excellence and Stewardship,” according to a press release from the county. “It is this dedication to duty that makes Rosen a valuable asset to the Police Department.”

For more information about the VIPS program, visit the county website or call Sergeant Humphries at (757) 603-6022.
