The William & Mary Canterbury Association, a joint ministry of Bruton Parish Church and the College of William & Mary, spent a recent Saturday volunteering at Avalon: A Center for Women and Children.
The group helped build much-needed clothing racks in the storage garage at the shelter. After experiencing the joy of giving back, the Canterbury members were excited to commit to more volunteering and projects at Avalon, including assisting with donation activities and shelter advocacy, according to Avalon’s Director of Development Jacquelyn Jamason.
“Avalon is truly grateful for volunteers like the Canterbury Association. We can’t operate without our committed volunteers and donors,” Jamason said.
