W&M Standout Justin Krueger Honored as CAA Football Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND — After posting a tremendous performance in the William & Mary football team’s victory against Elon, redshirt freshman defensive lineman Justin Krueger was honored as the CAA Rookie of the Week.

Krueger tallied a career-high seven tackles, 1.5 TFLs, a sack and a quarterback hurry as W&M rallied past Elon, 26-21. The Marietta, Ga., native was part of a Tribe defense that recorded four sacks and held the Phoenix to seven points in the second half to come back from a 14-3 deficit.

A starter in each of the last three games, Krueger has totaled 26 tackles, 2.0 sacks, 4.0 TFL, a forced fumble and a PBU this season.

The Tribe will look to extend its winning streak to three games when it returns to action at New Hampshire on Saturday at 1 p.m.
