COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. — The William & Mary women’s gymnastics team posted one of its best performances of the season en route to winning a quad meet hosted by Ursinus on Sunday afternoon.
W&M edged Bridgeport for the team title, 192.075-192.050, while West Chester (190.175) and Ursinus (189.575) finished third and fourth, respectively.
In addition to earning the meet’s top score on vault (48.050), the Tribe also recorded a season-high 48.650 on beam. The impressive total on beam ranks just outside the program’s all-time top-10 list on the apparatus.

Caroline Blatchford also earned an individual event title by recording the meet’s top mark on bars with a 9.750.
Samantha Burd and Sarah Kuper registered the Tribe’s best scores on vault, as both gymnasts tallied a 9.675. The score represented a career best for Burd.
W&M will return to action when it hosts Penn at Kaplan Arena for its Alumnae Meet on March 8 at 2 p.m. The meet will be a double dual with the W&M men’s team, which will host Navy.
