WILLIAMSBURG — The William & Mary men’s gymnastics team concluded its regular season slate by earning its best score of the 2024 campaign in a dual meet against No. 9 Navy on Senior Day at Kaplan Arena.
Although W&M fell to the Mids, 396.75-388.1, the Tribe posted its season-high score after earning season bests in three events — pommel horse (61.95), rings (64.85) and parallel bars (66.2).
Sam Lee, Aidan Cuy and Evan Wilkins highlighted the Tribe’s individual performances, as they all posted a pair of top-three finishes. Lee placed second on vault (14.5) and parallel bars (13.95, career high), while Cuy finished third in both events with a pair of career highs – 14.15 (vault), 13.9 (parallel bars). Wilkins placed second on floor (13.6, career high) and rings (13.4, career high).
Will Harrington also came up big by placing third on floor (13.4), while Garrett Kasiski and Niko Greenly tied for third on rings with a 13.1. The score represented a season high for Kasiski.
Ricky Pizem was W&M’s top scorer on pommel horse (13.05, career high), while Evan Sikra placed first for the Tribe on high bar (12.8).
Cuy was the meet’s lone competitor in all-around and recorded a season-high 77.0
