UPPER MARLBORO, Md. — The William & Mary women’s gymnastics team posted its best score of the season and placed fourth in a quad meet on Friday evening at the Showplace Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
George Washington claimed the team title with a 195.175 and was followed by Penn (194.550), Towson (194.225) and W&M (190.500).
Grace Costello and Michelle Ngo highlighted the Tribe’s individual performances, as Costello tied for second on beam (9.750) and Ngo tied for second on floor with a career-high 9.875. Ngo’s impressive score ranked just outside the program’s all-time top-10 list.
Sarah Kuper earned W&M’s top score on vault (9.725), while Caroline Blatchford and Sarah Wozniak tied for the squad’s best performance on bars (9.775). Blatchford’s score equaled a career high in the event.
As a team, W&M’s best score came on bars with a season-high 48.375.
