A pair of goals by Moira Thomson lifted York to a 2-1 win at home against Grafton on Tuesday.
Thomson’s first goal came in the 22nd minute off a well-placed pass by Madison Van Dyke. The goal gave York a 1-0 advantage heading into halftime.
In addition to her first-half goal, Thomson also scored York’s lone second-half goal in the 57th minute, again coming off an assist from Van Dyke.
A Grafton goal late in the second half proved fruitless as the Falcons held on for the victory.
York (9-2) will visit Lakeland on Friday, while Grafton (3-6) will try to rebound at with a road game against Warwick on Wednesday.

Tabb’s girls soccer team dominated Lafayette 8-2 at home on Tuesday.
Leading the charge for the Tigers was Leah Tyson, who logged a hat trick in the victory. Michelle Sterling chipped in two goals for Tabb, while Schuyler Jurewicz, Madalynn Grounds and Vita Sconyers each added a goal.
The Tigers took a 2-0 lead heading into halftime before scoring three goals over a five-minute span to open the second half. With Tabb leading 5-0, the Tigers were able to coast to the easy victory.
Baylie Gentry and Taylor Gubler scored Lafayette’s goals in the second half.
Tabb (10-1) will host Gloucester on Friday, while Lafayette (4-4) will visit Warhill that same day.

HRA Ends Regular Season With Loss to Norfolk Collegiate
Hampton Roads Academy ended its regular season with a 1-0 road loss to Norfolk Collegiate on Tuesday.
Norfolk Collegiate’s Madison White scored the game’s only goal in the first half.
Trailing 1-0 heading into the second half, Hampton Roads Academy was unable to find the back of the net in the shutout loss.
HRA (11-2) will now turn its attention to the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools Tournament that begins May 10.
