Jamestown swept Grafton during the first dual meet of the season Tuesday at Hampton University as the Jamestown girls defeated Grafton 73-21, while the Jamestown boys won 58-36.
In the girls race, Joelle Vereb and Margaret Williams each won two individual events for the Eagles. Vereb took first place in the 100-meter butterfly and 100-meter bresaststroke, while Williams won the 100- and 200-meter freestyle.
Jamestown’s Abby Larson also won two events, notching first place in the 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter backstroke.
In the boys race, Grafton’s Jonathan Spires took first place in the 100 and 200-meter freestyle, while Graydon Tinneny won the 200-meter individual medley and 500-meter freestyle.
