Warhill kept its six-match win streak alive as the Lions took down York on the road Monday 25-17, 25-13, 25-18.
After starting the season 2-3, the Lions seem to have found their groove with straight-set victories in five of their last six matches.
Monday’s match against York was no different, as the Lions won all three sets comfortably against the Falcons.
Cori Clifton paced Warhill with a well-rounded match, putting up solid numbers on offense and defense. Clifton finished the match with 12 assists, nine kills, eight digs and a team-high five aces.
Warhill’s Nicole Mulligan logged a team-high 15 kills to go with four aces and two blocks, while Jewel Walters added 16 digs.
The Lions (8-3) will look to extend their win streak to seven matches when they host Smithfield at 4 p.m. Thursday.
York (0-9) is still looking for its first win of the season and will try to secure it Thursday during a home match with Poquoson.
