Tabb’s golf team claimed the Conference 27 championship at Bide-A-Wee Golf Course in Portsmouth on Thursday.
Led by co-medalists Robert Tulloss and Jordan Stetina, both of whom shot an 81, the Tabb Tigers took first place with a team score of 336. York finished in second place with a combined score of 361.
In the individual standings, York’s James Mollenkamp and Tyler Twiggs finished tied for third place with scores of 84. Rounding out the top five was Tabb’s Thomas Pfifer with an 87.
Tabb’s Alex Overbay finished sixth overall with an 87, while York’s James Steele finished in seventh with an 88. Evan Glass was the final Historic Triangle golfer to score in the top 10, placing 10th with a 94.
Because of their team results, Tabb and York will advance to the 3A East region tournament at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club on Oct. 1.
