The Lafayette boys and girls swim teams took first place during the Region 3A East swimming championships on Saturday.
The boys swimmers finished in first place with 333 points, while Historic Triangle schools York and Warhill finished in sixth and ninth, respectively.
Carter Kale took first place in four events for Lafayette, winning the 100 fly and 500 freestyle. He also tallied first-place finishes as a part of the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay teams.
The three Historic Triangle teams finished in the top-five on the girls side. Lafayette finished in first place, while York finished in third place. Warhill rounded out the group in fourth.
Alex Slayton of York earned multiple-winner status by taking first place in the 50 freestyle and 100 fly.
