After finishing 0-9 in the Bay Rivers District last year, Bruton’s girls tennis team is proving to be a different kind of team this season two matches into district play.
The Panthers defeated Poquoson 8-1 on Thursday to boost their record to 2-1. The two wins Bruton has achieved in three games this season are more than the program totaled during the previous three seasons combined.
