After turning in an impressive regular season résumé, the William and Mary men’s soccer team learned Monday afternoon it has at least one more game on its schedule this year.

The Tribe received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and will host a first-round match against George Mason on Thursday at Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

W&M, which went 11-5-2 in the regular season, made a run to the Colonial Athletic Association championship match before falling 1-0 to Drexel on Saturday afternoon.  The Tribe, which has lost three times in its last 15 matches, will be participating in its third NCAA Tournament under head coach Chris Norris.

The Tribe knocked off several nationally ranked opponents this season, including two No. 1 teams.

The College returns to the tournament for the first time since the 2010 season, making its 15th overall appearance in the tournament. In 2010, William and Mary advanced to the third round of the College Cup.

George Mason, which won the Atlantic 10 title, enters the NCAA Tournament with a 12-2-5 record. A former CAA rival, the Patriots and Tribe have met 45 times overall, with William and Mary holding a 24-16-5 mark over the Patriots.

The winner of Thursday’s contest will face the No. 14 seed New Mexico Lobos in Albuquerque, N.M., at 9 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets for the Thursday game are available by calling the Tribe ticket office at 757-221-3340 or fans may purchase tickets online at TribeAthletics.com. Admission is $7 for adults; $3 for college students with an I.D., seniors (65 and over) and military; and $1 for youth ages 12 and younger.
