Rain washed out most of Tuesday’s opening round of the 14th annual Christine Garvey memorial soccer tournament.
Four games were played on the turf fields at Poquoson Middle and Bailey Field while all others were canceled and will not be made up.
Therefore, Wednesday’s schedule, which can be viewed below or on the tournament website here, will not change from its original format. Thursday’s pairings will be decided following the action on Wednesday.
As for Tuesday’s results:
Jennifer Pandolf scored twice and Kamryn Comer tacked on another goal as York’s varsity girls team defeated Gloucester 3-1.
Gloucester’s boys varsity team earned a 4-1 victory over Poquoson.
