Tuesday’s Prep Basketball Roundup: Grafton Girls Clinch BRD Title

Olivia Wilson scored a game-high 24 points to go along with 15 rebounds and Christa Hall chipped in with 16 points as Grafton clinched its third-straight Bay Rivers District title with a 73-25 road victory over Warhill.

The Clippers could have clinched the title themselves with a win over Tabb on Thursday, however Smithfield’s victory over Poquoson Tuesday moved both the Packers and Islanders four games back of Grafton with just three district contests left.

Emily Beyer added 10 points in the victory and Hannah Olson finished with nine points and six assists for the Clippers (17-2, 15-0 BRD), who still need a strong finish to the season  to clinch the all-important No. 1 overall seed in Region I Division 4.
