Jamestown coach Mary Glisan said that Lafayette simply outplayed the Eagles as the Rams never trailed once all game. Indyah Brown and Desiree Jones scored 10 apiece to lead a balanced scoring effort for Lafayette. Alicia Lee chipped in with nine and Libbie Bland added eight for the Rams, who improved to 5-2 in the Bay Rivers with the victory. Jamestown (4-3 BRD) was led by Aaliyah Lyttle’s 17 points and Aine Cannon finished with 10.

Tabb’s ability to break down Grafton’s full-court press kept it close at the half (23-19), but the Clippers pulled away after outscoring the Tigers 14-7 in the third quarter after switching to a 1-3-1 defense. Olivia Wilson scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Grafton (9-1), which moved to 7-0 in the district on the year. Hannah Olson also netted 15 and Emily Beyer scored eight for the Clippers. Shanteyah Holder (11 points) and Imani Jarmon (8 points) led the Tigers in scoring.

Sydney Turner scored a game-high 16 points to lead Poquoson past New Kent on the road. The Islanders outscored the Trojans 21-7 in the final quarter to secure the victory as Poquoson improved to 6-1 in the Bay Rivers and remain one game back of first-place Grafton.
