WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg Regional Library (WRL) is inviting the public to join Library Director Betsy Fowler on Nov. 2 for informational meetings on the current Williamsburg facility and to learn more about important aspects of 21st-century library buildings.
“Once in a generation, a community builds a new library, and now is the time when we need to start this process in order to see a completed building years down the road,” said Fowler. “This star-rated regional library system needs more space to serve the growing population.”
“We invite the public to get informed and get involved in the vision for a new library building,” she added.
Williamsburg Regional Library will hold two public informational meetings on Wednesday, Nov. 2 — one at 2 p.m. and one at 6 p.m.. Both will take place in the Williamsburg Library Theatre.
The public will have the opportunity to ask questions and share comments at each session, and behind-the-scenes tours of the Williamsburg Library facility will be available.
The public can also learn more about the effort for a new library space at wrl.org/newbuilding.
