Walter R. Hill Sr., 70, a member of the Pamunkey Tribe of King William County passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on September 23, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling and Irene Hill and his brother Ivy S. Hill Sr.
Walter Sr. is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sherryl Whitley Hill; his son, Walter R. Hill Jr.; his daughter-in-law, Tracee Hill; grandchildren, Avery Hill and Chayton Hill as well as his daughter, April Deacy and granddaughter Mikayla Deacy.
Walter Sr. graduated from Henrico High School in 1975. He then attended RJATC and became an electrician where he later retired from Pole Green Services. Walter Sr. enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, boating, and his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at a later date.
