Sheldon ‘Woody” Wynn, 72, of Charles City County, went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his father Eswood Wynn, mother, Elizabeth Austin, brothers Danny and Linwood Cannada. Woody is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Sylvia “Sybs”, his second mom, Mae Cannada, daughters, Lauren, Joy and Hilary (Austin), grandson, Grayson, brothers, Spence Wynn (Celeste), Harley Cannada (Edie), Warren Cannada (Esther), sisters, Victoria Davis (Jason), Charlene Cannada (Russell), sister in laws, Sonya Stewart (Patrick), Connie Lankford (Willie), brother in law Marlon Bradby (Celie).

Woody was a member of Samaria Baptist Church and the Chickahominy Indian Tribe. He retired from Phillip Morris with over 30 years of service. He was known for being a long-time faithful Los Angeles Rams fan and avid horseshoe player. You could always find Woody wearing his Rams gear and khaki work pants with his chain wallet. His hobbies consisted of throwing horseshoes, sitting in the garage listening to music, washing cars, cutting grass and his favorite, sitting in his recliner watching westerns or on Youtube looking up 77’ Oldsmobile Cutlas.
Woody adored his wife and three girls and the newest addition to the family, his grandson Grayson. He loved spending time with his friends and family. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
On behalf of the family, they would like to send their deepest gratitude to the ladies at St. Mary’s Heart Failure Center and his devoted nurse for last seven years, Grace, for the love and care given to Woody.
