Timothy “Tim” Pape, born on May 16, 1960, in Rochester, NY, left us on June 27, 2026, in Newport News, VA, at the age of 66. Tim was a man who lived with passion, dedication, and boundless generosity.

A retired U.S. Navy veteran, Tim dedicated many years of his life to serving his country with honor and integrity. After his retirement, he followed his passion for mechanics, immersing himself in the world of cars. Whether he was under the hood of a classic vehicle or sharing stories of his latest project, his enthusiasm was infectious, and his skills unmatched.

Tim was known for his kind heart and the genuine connections he formed with everyone he met. He truly never knew a stranger, always eager to lend a hand or share a warm smile. His spirit was one that embraced life’s moments, big and small, with equal joy and appreciation.

Above all, Tim was a devoted family man. Married to his beloved wife, Barbara, for 39 years, their love story spanned over four decades, a testament to their unwavering bond and commitment to one another. He cherished his role as a father to his son, Chad, providing guidance, support, and endless love.

Preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Alberta Pape, Tim is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, his son Chad, his brother-in-law Larry Sweetman (Debbi), his three step-brothers, his niece Autumn Rose, and his beloved cat, Pretty Kitty, and a host of cherished friends who were touched by his kindness and warmth.

Tim’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and the simple joys found in everyday life. His memory will forever be a source of inspiration to those who had the privilege of knowing him.
