Paul G. Mahoney, 69, of Providence Forge

Paul G. Mahoney (Vincent Funeral Home)

It is with deep love and profound respect that we celebrate the life of Paul Geoffrey Mahoney, who passed away on May 16, 2026, at the age of 69. Paul will be remembered most for the unwavering love he had for his children and grandchildren.

Born in Hartford, CT, in 1956, GHS class 1974, Paul was a man of many passions. He was known for his humor, quick wit, boldness, shrewdness, love for golf, classic rock, and, of course, asphalt sealcoating. Paul could light up any room with his larger-than-life personality. Nobody on this planet has ever loved asphalt sealing as much as Paul, and he instilled this same strong work ethic into his two sons—one a preacher and the other a business owner. He was deeply sentimental and believed it was important to cherish every good moment and bring happiness to those around him. He always enjoyed telling stories of the wild adventures in his life, making many friends and frequently sharing the immense love and pride he had for his children and grandchildren.

Paul possessed a deep resilience. He was a fighter who approached life with courage, determination, and passion, striving to be a loving father and friend despite the heavy burdens he carried. He taught those closest to him how to be loving and hopeful in the midst of life’s constant challenges. Most recently, Paul dedicated his life to his Savior, Jesus Christ, by getting baptized in April. He enjoyed listening to the audio Bible and attending church with his son, Geoffrey (Michelle), and two granddaughters, Myrtle and Tullah.

His legacy remains in the hearts of his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anne, and his parents, WWII veteran Clifford and Elaine Mahoney. He is survived by his children: Craig (Adrienne), Kelly, and Geoffrey (Michelle); his grandchildren: Emma, Myrtle, and Tullah; his second wife, Dotty, and her children, Tim and Abby; his siblings: Susan (John) Anderson, Vanessa (Dave) Hansen, Mark, Dennis, Joe, and Jimmy; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial Service will be held Sunday, June 7th, 2:00pm-3:00pm at First Baptist Church of Manchester, 240 Hillstown Rd, Manchester, CT 06040
