With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Westyn “Wes” Andrew Parrack, who left us too soon on April 19, 2026, in Newport News, Virginia, at the age of 28. Born on February 19, 1998, in South Bend, Indiana, Wes was a vibrant spirit who touched the lives of all who knew him.
Wes lived with an infectious enthusiasm and creativity that shone through in everything he did. His love for drawing, art, and music reflected a boundless imagination and a deep appreciation for the beauty in the world around him. He found inspiration in the everyday, transforming it into expressions as unique and thoughtful as he was.
Above all, Wes held a deep faith in Jesus Christ, which guided him through both life’s joys and its challenges. His spiritual life was marked by compassion and sincerity—he was always ready to offer a helping hand or a listening ear to anyone in need.
Those who knew Wes will remember him for marching to the beat of his own drum and embracing the less-traveled path in life. His courage to be wholly himself made him deeply loved and respected. His quirky humor, warm smile, and generous heart left an indelible mark on his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Wes is survived by his loving parents, Michael Parrack and Lisa Kuiper; his cherished sister, Emily Parrack; his grandmothers Margaret Kuiper and Linda Albaugh; and a wide circle of extended family and friends who adored him. He will be profoundly missed by all whose lives he touched.
Though his time with us was far too brief, Wes’s legacy of love, creativity, and faith will continue to inspire. While our hearts are heavy with loss, they are also filled with gratitude for the gift of having shared in his life. We find comfort in the promise of Scripture:
Wisdom of Solomon 3:1–6
“The souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and no torment will ever touch them.
In the eyes of the foolish they seemed to have died, and their departure was thought to be a disaster,
and their going from us to be their destruction; but they are at peace.
For though in the sight of men they were punished, their hope is full of immortality.
Having been disciplined a little, they will receive great good, because God tested them and found them worthy of Himself.”
