Marianne Senior Baillie, age 78, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, in Richmond, Virginia. She was born on January 24, 1948, in Yonkers, New York.

Marianne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend. She shared her life with her beloved husband, Robert, and together they built a family filled with laughter, warmth, and love. She was the proud mother of three children: Gregg (Heather), Scott (Debbie), and Lynne (Tony), and a cherished grandmother to Chris, Bella, Sofia, Matthew, Simon, Lily, Michael, and Catie, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

A lifelong teacher, Marianne dedicated her career to educating and nurturing others, leaving a lasting impact on countless students through her patience, enthusiasm, and encouragement.

Outside the classroom, Marianne found joy in arts and crafts, travel, and spending time with family and friends. She was known for her inviting nature, gregarious spirit, and quick wit. Her sense of humor and ability to make others feel welcome were hallmarks of her personality, and her home was always a place of warmth and connection.

Marianne was an active and valued member of the Brickshire Community, where she formed meaningful friendships and remained engaged in community life.
