Michael A. Cavallo, Jr. passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 89.

A Williamsburg resident since 1984, Mike was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He was a University of Illinois alumnus (1958). After college he served in the United States Marine Corps and was a proud American. He enjoyed a successful career as a corporate executive for more than 40 years.

Mike was both a gentleman and a scholar who loved history (especially American and Roman), travel, reading, and his lifelong teams the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. His unmatched wit and humor stayed with him throughout his last days.

Above all, Mike was a dedicated husband, father, and family man. Together with his wife Mary, he nurtured a strong and faithful family of girls. His legacy lives on in the hearts of family and friends who were so very blessed to have known him.

Michael is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary W. Cavallo (Ferrell). He is survived by his daughters Pamela (Troy), Patricia (Michael), and Susan (John), eight grandchildren: Ryan, Sarah Jane, Sam (Athena), Adam, Miranda, Donovan, Roma, and Luca, and two great grandchildren who he adored.

Services will be held on Monday, March 30 at 2:00 pm at Williamsburg Memorial Park, followed by a celebration of life.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made online to Shriners Children’s Hospital in his memory.
