It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Harold Louis Wallace of Williamsburg, VA. Harold passed away on August 14, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer and other health issues. He was born on March 12, 1941, to Eugene and Myrtle Wallace
After graduating from the military academy, Harold proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, he worked at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, where he became affectionately known as the “#1 waiter” because of his warm personality and exceptional service. At the time of his passing, he was a 100% disabled veteran.
He met and married the love of his life, Rosetta Wallace. This union was blessed with three beautiful daughters.
Harold lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed singing, fishing, bowling, and partying with family and friends. Harold’s vibrant spirit and loving heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Myrtle Wallace; aunt Viola Willis; and cousin Alberta Taliaferro.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters, Deborah Wallace Harvey (Ricky), Stephanie Wallace Hobbs (Ed), Avil Wallace Scurlock (Segreal); six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sisters, April Wallace Bryant, whom he lived with and was his caregiver for the last sixteen years, and Brenda “Cookie” Wallace; special niece Dimitra “DeeDee” Bryant, who was his caregiver as well; two very special cousins Verma Lewis and Scheryl Powell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A special thank you to an amazing Riverside Hospice care team, Dr. Mac, Melanie (RN), Jennifer (RN), and Melissa (Family Counselor).
