Winfred Charles Furlough (Weymouth Funeral Home & Crematory)

Winfred Charles Furlough, 82, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Newport News, Virginia to Issac T. and Kathryn S. Furlough.

Winfred was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Billie Furlough (Darnell); his son, Charles “Chuckie” W. Furlough Jr. and his favorite companion, Bootise. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Dianna “Dee” May Furlough; his sisters, Glenda Ross and Betty Furlough (Steven S. Smock); his brother, Phillip R. Furlough (June Furlough); his daughters, Angela Furlough Wells (Jeffrey Wells) and Rebecca Montoya; his sons, Michael Wayne Dalton (Teresa Dalton) and Donald Ray Dalton; 10 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren.

Winfred severed his country as a proud United States Marine Corp and a former Police Officer of Newport News, Virginia. He worked at Newport News Shipbuilding as a Nuclear Security Guard as well.

He enjoyed metal detecting, flea marketing, telling stories and working on vehicles.

He is loved by many and missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Peninsula Memorial Park.
