Rhea Diane Foreman, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 87.

Born on December 21, 1937, in New York, Rhea’s journey through life was marked by her boundless love, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.

Rhea loved her time as a preschool aide at the Hebrew Academy of Tidewater; however, her most cherished role was that of homemaker, where she poured her heart into creating a warm and loving home. Her nurturing spirit and gentle guidance left a lasting impact on all who knew her, fostering a legacy of compassion and kindness that will endure for generations.

A devoted member of Temple Emanuel–Virginia Beach, Rhea’s faith was a source of strength and inspiration throughout her life. She drew comfort and joy from the vibrant community she found there, enriching not only her own life but also the lives of those around her.

Rhea was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Lillie Diamant; her beloved husband, Bernard B. Foreman; and her sister-in-law, Arabel Diamant. She is survived by her children, Julie R. Foreman and Jeffrey A. Foreman and his wife, Gillin; her grandchildren, Megan Scaff, Lillian, Rose, and Charles Foreman; her brothers, Alan Diamant, Jay Diamant, and Ira Diamant; along with many extended family members and friends who will continue to cherish her memory.

Rhea’s influence and love will endure in the hearts of her family and friends, who gathered with her for holidays and simple everyday moments that became treasured memories. Her unwavering devotion to her loved ones reflected an incredible strength that inspired all who had the privilege to know her.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff and caregivers at The Gardens of Virginia Beach for their love and support for Ms. Rhea.

A memorial donation in Rhea’s name may be made to Temple Emanuel.
