Harold O. Phillips, Sr., of New Jersey, formerly of King & Queen, VA, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 11, 2025. He is the son of the late James Walker and Louise Marie Phillips.
Harold graduated from Central High School in 1952. He was baptized at an early age and became a member of First Baptist Church of Hockley. Harold moved to New Jersey early in life and that’s where he lived and made a career with the National Packaging Company until his retirement.
Harold is survived by his devoted wife, Sylvia; faithful son, Wesley; his loving sister, Gail Phillips; loyal brother, Howard Phillips; his cherished aunt, Olivia Phillips; three sisters-in-law; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held 12 noon Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th Street, West Point, VA 23181, with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment to follow in the First Baptist Church of Hockley Cemetery.
A service was held at New Hope Baptist Church in New Jersey on May 24, 2025. The family thanks John B. Houston Funeral Home, for their care in celebrating Harold’s life in New Jersey.
