Jasper M. Graves Sr. turned from his earthly journey to eternal rest on May 7, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family. His life began on January 20, 1963, as the son of Vivian Graves and Harold Coles of Williamsburg, Virginia.
A lifelong resident of Williamsburg, Jasper received his education in the Williamsburg-James City County Public School System. He worked as a concrete finisher for Able Concrete LLC until his health prevented him from continuing.
Jasper was a fun-loving person whose smile could light up any room. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was also a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. Although his presence will be missed, we thank God for the time he shared with us.
Jasper’s fond memories will forever remain with his children, Marcella Meekins, Jasper Meekins, Jasper Graves, and Latasha Graves; eight grandchildren; his mother, Vivian Graves; father, Harold Coles; his pop, Charles Harris; sisters, Lillian Edwards and Min. Arlene Ashby (Ricky); brothers, Elder Jerome Graves (Sheri), Harold Graves, Jerry Graves, Telly Harris, and Dallas Graves; nephew Jonathan Wright; best friends, Michael Christian, Michael Mason, and Andrew Meekins; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
A funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Whiting’s Funeral Home, with a viewing beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park.
