Pearline Wise was born on October 12,1937 to the late Willie and Martha Wise in King and Queen County, Virginia. She peacefully entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center.
Pearline was educated in King and Queen County Public Schools and graduated from Central High School in 1955. At an early age, Pearline was baptized at First Baptist Church of Hockley and fully enjoyed worshiping and glorifying God in the choir, supporting the youth and in many other capacities where needed.
On January 2, 1961, Pearline gave birth to a bouncing baby girl. Cynthia Denise Wise was her joy, her rock. Pearline was a devoted mother and loving grandmother to Brandon Alexander Wise. The 3 of them were inseparable. Pearline retired after many years from the Williamsburg Soap and Candle Factory. She seldom missed a day of work and was meticulous in all that she did on and off the job. She loved sports and did not miss a school athletic event even when Brandon’s team was not playing. She was an encouragement to the youth as they called her “Grandma.”
She will be forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Martha Wise, daughter Cynthia Denise Wise, brothers Arthur Henry Wise, Otis Wise, Garland Wise, Sherman Wise, Ulysees Wise and her sisters Mary Ann Booth, Margaret Cooke, and Vertina Quarles.
She leaves behind her beloved grandson, Brandon Wise; devoted siblings, Linda Edwards (Kalie) and Cornelius Wise; and a very special friend, Alease Friday, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family wishes to thank you for the calls, prayers, cards, and kind words during this time.
