On April 24, 2025, Nellie Catherine Boyd Crump departed this life after leading a rich and rewarding life for 92 plus years.
Nellie was predeceased by her husband, Grosjean Graves “Dusty” Crump, Jr.
She is survived by her children, G.G. Crump III, Catherine Hart (Garrett) and Pamela Radwani (Kent); and a brother, Billy Boyd of North Carolina. Nellie is also survived by seven grandchildren, Brandon Paige, Nathaniel Boyd, Sunnie Dae, Ashley Aldon, Jonathan Lee, Chase Alexander, Taylor Winfree, and nine great grandchildren.
Nellie was born May 27, 1932, in Patrick County. She was a longtime member of Corinth Baptist Church and New Kent Chapel Memorial Association.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the New Kent Chapel Memorial Church, 13100 Cooks Mill Road, Lanexa, VA 23089, with a graveside service beginning at 11:00. a.m. Memorials may be made to New Kent Chapel Memorial Association, c/o Maria Newell, Treasurer, PO Box 75, New Kent, VA. 23124.
