It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Myrtle Evelyn Nelson, a loving mother and grandmother, who peacefully passed away on January 22, 2025 at the age of 87.
She was born in Dublin County, NC. Later in life, Evelyn became actively involved with the Peninsula Rescue Mission; giving generously to the cause.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kathryn Kreisner and Joyce Kuberek; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at World Outreach Worship Center, Newport News, VA.
A Celebration Of Her Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the church with interment to follow at Peninsula Memorial Park.
