Mollie Johnson Gregory, 92, a longtime resident of King William County VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 30, 2024.
Mollie married the love of her life on December 19, 1948. She and Henry dearly loved their cottage on the Mattaponi River, and together they made countless road trips from their home in Mechanicsville to Woodbury Farm in King William County. There she was able to be near and to enjoy many family members and friends. Mollie loved fishing, skiing, boating and traveling. She traveled the world with her sister, Alyce, and her dear friend, Joyce. Mollie was a member of Jerusalem Christian Church for more than 50 years where she was very active in the Ladies Missionary Group. For 20 years, she was also active in the King William County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee. Mollie retired from her work at Nations Bank and was able to enjoy almost 25 years of retirement.
Mollie was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 75 years, Henry T. Gregory; her parents, John Lemuel and Addie Chandler Johnson; her siblings, Oliver P. Johnson, Wylie C. Johnson, John Lemuel Johnson Jr., Liggan Alyce West, Cora Campbell Sperduto, Addie Elizabeth Hedgebeth, Ellen Blanche Richardson, Annie Zella Webb and Minnie Valerie Johnson; and nephew, Hugh S. Johnson.
Mollie is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and special friends, including Darlene Woodward, Elaine Dean, Joyce Rhodes and Nancy Johnson. The family would like to thank Mollie’s caregivers for all they did to lovingly care for her.
