Donna Joy Howell, 86, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024 in Yorktown, VA.
Donna was born in Colorado and later moved to Hampton, VA, where she met and married her husband of 53 years, Clarence Allen Howell. As an Air Force family, they lived in many cities and states throughout the U.S. and worldwide. Eventually returning to Yorktown, VA, in the early 1970s, where they made their forever home.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Grayson and Meryl King; husband, Clarence Howell and sister, Dana. She is survived by her brother, Michael King; her children, Pamela Sweat (Phillip), Richard Howell and Rachael Allard; grandchildren, Christopher and Jessica Sweat, Jennifer Sweat Shacklock (Lonnie), Emily and Grace Howell and 2 great-grandchildren.
Donna was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Tabb, VA since 1972.
A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Peninsula Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
